Contract Date: September 2017

Capacity: 1,296,000 m³/day

Project Description

The currently-operating Baltalimanı Wastewater Pretreatment Plant will continue to be operational after the construction of the new plant is completed. As part of the new plant, pretreatment units with a daily capacity of 1,296,000 m3/day are being designed. These pretreatment units consist of a stone filtration unit, coarse grid unit, entry transfer station, fine grid unit, sand removal and degreasing unit, and a perforated grid unit.

Following the pretreatment units, it is planned to build a 600,000 m3/day-capacity High Loaded Activated Sludge System (A Process) and 960,000 m3/day-capacity ‘a process’ settling lagoons. Treated water will be transferred to the currently-operational deep-sea discharge line through the landline to be built as part of this project.

The treatment of sludge resulting from biological treatment will consist of centrifuge-type decanters as well as condensation, sludge decaying, sludge dewatering, and sludge drying units.
